The annual Walk n’ Roll and 5K Run for ALS of Nevada helps fund services for ALS patients and their families. Walk n’ Roll/5K takes place in beautiful Police Memorial Park. Participants can create their own Team and reach out to more people to increase their donation to ALS. The event is open to the public. Anyone interested in participating to support ALS of Nevada’s mission – from babies to seniors – are welcome. Event is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Rob Dorinson (second from right) is afflicted with ALS. He and his family and friends helped make the 2011 and 2012 Walk n’ Roll/5K Run for ALS of Nevada successful. One of his goals is to make sure that ALS of Nevada continues to raise enough money to become self-sustaining. He knows how important ALS of Nevada’s services are to patients, caregivers and families. Given the progressive nature of the disease and the differences in how it attacks each patient, he understands just how important the free clinics are in Las Vegas and Reno.
