Walking in honor of our uncle.

These children are walking in honor of their uncle who is afflicted with ALS. They know what a tough disease it is and how much ALS of Nevada can help. Please join us at either the Walk n’ Roll/5k Run in Las Vegas or the Walk n’ Roll in Reno.

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) of Nevada is an independent, non-profit 501(c) (3) organization striving to improve the lives of those living with and fighting ALS throughout Nevada, one patient at a time. The organization started in 1998. The board of directors and executive director raise funds through events, corporate donations and sponsorships, grants and the generosity of individuals.

ALS of Nevada’s primary goals are to:

  • Help the Nevada ALS patient and family/caregivers live as full and normal a life as possible.
  • Aid patients through the loan of equipment or by other means.
  • Serve as a liaison, linking the ALS patient to available resources and information.
  • Educate and inform the general public as to the nature of ALS.
